jshks 0 #1 Posted 2 hours ago Well folks you may well be seeing me poking around here. picked up this little tractor yesterday. Won’t say it was a grand slam of a deal but think it was a fair price. Came with a tiller, mower deck, front blades snow plow and a little trailer. Young fellow blew the original Kohler up, repowered with a HF Predator,paint is not even burnt off the muffler. Basically bought the HF engine and got the rest for free. Front and rear tires are ag bar tires and foam filled. Kind of bubba’d up but nothing I can’t fix properly and some what more correct. One thing right off the top is the high low will not move…….. fiberglass fender are cracked. Don’t know if I will try and repair or see about fitting craftsman metal fenders to it. Sparky-(Admin) 25,208 #3 Posted 1 hour ago Sounds like it was originally a BlackHood series tractor (model C-175) 1980-1984. Those plastic fenders rarely survived, but can easily be swapped out for fenders off a 300, 400 or 500 series. No drilling, just bolt in place of the plastic ones l, even has the large hole for the fuel tank fill. I have a few BlackHoods here currently. The C-85 still has its plastic fender intact.
