Well, it didn't end well for the truck. 2007 duramax with 230k miles. It ended up needing an entire fuel system (fuel pump, injectors, etc). The good news is that the comprehensive insurance covered it, the bad news is that they totaled the truck.

That is the one problem with owning and maintaining an older vehicle.                    :soapbox:

An older lady at our church had a 1992 Lincoln Town Car which looked and ran like new. A car sideswiped her car while she was stopped at a traffic light damaging both doors, front fender and the hood. The other driver was ticketed for failure to stay in his lane and found to be at fault for the damages. His insurance company totaled the car and paid her $ 2,000 plus a five day car rental allowance. She went to her insurance agent and was able to increase it to $ 2500 but nowhere close to what the car was worth to her.
