There are so many different decks, tractors and different clutch types over the years it's always best if you can provide as much information as possible. Internet diagnosis can be difficult as it is but with such vague information provided you're only going to WAGs ( Wild A$$ Guess ) Just a tractor model would be helpful

Here's a WAG   Tighten the trunion on the threaded rod at the clutch hoop to create more pressure on the clutch plate so it doesn't slip

How many different threads are going on this at same time?  confusing

You will need to remove the belt from the PTO

Check the deck for ease of spinning

If good, remove that bell housing with the pulleys on it to check the clutch plate.

If those pulleys get hot when it's slipping with the engine running and PTO engaged, then it's slipping at the clutch plate

@Duddy  should be a very basic set up , the screw on trundle  position  is showing you the issue , usually  at least a couple of inches  forward of its setting , looks like a  ty[ical combination  of issues , starting with  lever start  engagement . maybe your  clutch is  wiped out  , wrong  belt , would also not be surprised if  some related bearings are  cooked , lubrication failure . often refer to the wheel horse pto  set up as a gold mine for improvements . very simple set up , its the next stage , HAND OFF  , that usually shows itself .  seen a lot of those , pete
