I just know you have to e proud of yourself for all that great work Chas! That horse looks awesome! That motor really gave you a run for your money! I plan to start a restore on mine soon. I'm taking some of the lessons you learned and applying it to my project! I hope to have the success you did! Very VERY VERY cool! Well done!

I had to put a new center pully on the deck. The old one was wearing out the sides of the belt. There was rust bild up on the small one I could not smooth out.I figured it was worth it wearing belts out at $30.00 a pop gets a little expensive, if you burn up more than one. Gave it a workout today for about 2 hours, seems to be ok now. :D Takes some getting used to the automatic though, not enough hands :thanks:

Can any one tell the difference in these two sets of head lights? There is a difference if you look close

Well the difference is that one set has what is called spring clips P/N 108911 that holds the bulbs in the plastic frame. Which in my opinion are not very good at their job.The engine vibrates the bulbs like marbles in a can. The other one has metal plates holding the bulbs in the frame, they do not rattle around at all. That P/n 108054 they made them that way to make more money on the sale of the tractor.Cheaper to make the springs than the plates. That is my opinion.

After noon Fellers!!!

Well I was hearing a clicking and rattle noise on the C-165 Auto. I have had this problem for a while now, well about a month ago I started checking this click and rattle out.Well It turned out to be the idler pully shaft on the clutch pully. I bought a new pully, new wave washers, flat washer, new e-clip,flanged-bushing,new spring. It solved my noise problem :) I got some pictures of what I did.

Picture of new pully and new spring.
