jeff w 4 #1 Posted 2 hours ago Trying to "tune" my Walbro carb. For past three yrs it will not back down after having a higher rpm. However, if I'm using the PTO it will be okay? Sprayed a bit of B12 and seemed to be okay for 5 min, then you could see governor arm starting to search/surge? Further, probably needs a kit (carb), but hard to find. Also, I was thinking might be a good time to replace Governor spring?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Really like my C-81. Been around since new. Specs K181-30700 and K181-30743 use the same kit. https://www.partstree.com/models/k181-30743-kohler-k-series-engine-made-for-wheel-horse-8hp-6kw/carburetor-tp-2045-b-6/
Handy Don 16,428 #3 Posted 1 hour ago No harm to clean and dry lube the moving parts of the governor linkage, including the spring.
