Interesting to see how Wheel Horse tried to adapt to the changing times.

1968 Charger 9 model 1-7931

1968 Charger 9 model 1-7932

1968 Commando 6 model 1-4631

1968 Commando 7 model 1-3731 - Export model made in USA with horizontal shaft

1968 Commando 8 model 1-4831

Not obvious until you see them in a list like this.

In 1969 the 4th digit changed from a 3 to a 4. (Add 5 to the 4th digit to get the model year) (A bit later they subtracted 5 from the added -6th digit to get the model year.

Garry very interesting info. They made models for the working man that he could afford and pass it down to his grandkids. Nice post stay safe everyone.
