@ sodaking   , very nice , strong suggestion , in the recovery phase  , been adding  4 oz of  rislone , zddp zinc concentrate  to my 2 qts of  engine oil , also  valvoline  oil  has a very  high   cleaning  rating  , the instant an engine gets to heat phase , the varnish starts to  break down , piston ring glands , valve stems , and any smoking  or related neglect . doing this for years  , also  like to run in an engine  on a seperate gallon of  heavily treated fuel , drop carb bowl , clean out  , ad a filter just before  carb and just after  leaving tank , tank should also be , cleaned out , drop the  tank bottom valve , new lines , also immediately start a paint recovery with a penetrating oil spray down , sit for days / longer , wipe down  with clean  mineral oiled cloth , no  scratch pads , save the patina , brought back a number of them , seats are easy , stay in touch , pete
