Sodaking27 1,212 #1 Posted 17 hours ago Wasn’t really sure what I would end up with on this 125.00 314H and 48” Blade. First was a good scrubbing after installing a temporary spindle and front tires. Then some fresh gas and battery. With fingers crossed and a few shots of carb cleaner it came to life. Motor sounds good and the hydro seems strong. Next up will be new filters, fluids, belt, spark plug. Still need to find the correct right front spindle. I’m a happy camper with this one. 4

peter lena 9,860 #3 Posted 16 hours ago @ sodaking , very nice , strong suggestion , in the recovery phase , been adding 4 oz of rislone , zddp zinc concentrate to my 2 qts of engine oil , also valvoline oil has a very high cleaning rating , the instant an engine gets to heat phase , the varnish starts to break down , piston ring glands , valve stems , and any smoking or related neglect . doing this for years , also like to run in an engine on a seperate gallon of heavily treated fuel , drop carb bowl , clean out , ad a filter just before carb and just after leaving tank , tank should also be , cleaned out , drop the tank bottom valve , new lines , also immediately start a paint recovery with a penetrating oil spray down , sit for days / longer , wipe down with clean mineral oiled cloth , no scratch pads , save the patina , brought back a number of them , seats are easy , stay in touch , pete
