won't be long and she won't have time to share grandpa's tractor.

Maybe, but she'll never forget driving it. And she will have bragging rights about driving grandpa's tractor as an adult.

You might be shocked at how few adults nowadays know how to operate anything without a touch screen.

@Beap52 your doing it right. Start them young. And teach them something they cant learn in School. I remember  when I was in High School back in the early 70`s they had shop with small brigs engines on stands for us to tear down and build. That was cool.

A clutch and manual transmission are the greatest antitheft mechanisms for cars and trucks today.

in addition to my grandsons getting some seat time for themsleves and helping me in the yard - - the WH world has provided quality time with their Grampy - plus for them it has introduced them to learning tools as well as mechanical skills - just the concepts of combustion engine - what are cylinders, pistons, carbs, transmissions etc -- They have changed oil, tranny fuid, various filters etc, installed plow and decks - done some rehab painting etc - - then a few items we rehabbed and sold I then share the profits with them which gives them some cash of their own they would not have otherwise - - all in all the WH world gives them pride - sense of knowldge, accomplishment etc  -- all values and characteristcs of importance as we all learned growing up -- Bill
