Razorback 1,277 #1 Posted April 27 (edited) I know I have seen new front wheel hub grease boots for a C160 before but cannot locate them. Seems like they were made by someone here, and they had the Wheel Horse logo molded into them. Still available? If not, can someone tell me a source for normal smooth covers? squonk 46,256 #5 Posted April 27 Those don't have the horse head logo. Glen Petit had those. The plastic red ones with the logo faded from the sun pretty quick. The rubbery ones pictured seem to last pretty good.

I aint lost when of the rubbery ones yet go figure.

Razorback 1,277 #8 Posted 4 hours ago Well, they arrived. I removed the front wheels, cleaned and regreased everything, then installed the new boots. Everything good now, and I’m glad to finally have that protection for the bearings and shafts. (shhhhhhh…… don’t tell anyone, but the other 2 I put on my 1966 Cub Cadet 123……)

Not a particular Cub fan myself (though some are very nice), but so long as it isn't green your Wheel Horse won't beat it up in the shed when no one is looking.

I got that 123 15 yrs ago or more, mainly because it came with a tiller and a mower deck. Truth be told, as much as I LOVE the C160 overall, the 123 is my favorite tilling machine. Between the hydro and the tiller itself, it does the best tilling job. But the C160 is a VERY close 2nd. (I agree with your “green” sentiments.)
