Recycling deck blades vs regular 42 inch deck blades

I was removing my 42 inch recycling deck blades and noticed a difference between the regular 42 inch blades and ghe 42 recycling deck blades that I never paid attention too before.

 

 

The recycling blade in second picture is on top and has a longer cutting edge.  The regular 42 blade is on bottom and has about a two inch shorter cutting edge.

 

Both blades would work on either mower deck  from what i can tell.

 

 

Anyone have any more details about this difference??

             Could be a PO just kept grinding them over several years. Here is a picture of them from parts tree.

Since the clippings are bottled up under the recycling deck, they likely made the longer cutting edge to help get the blade thru the mess.
