856: ignition Dash Better fit recommendations

Recommended Posts

FLtractor

Morning,

Recently got 856 New Wheelhorse parts and more ignition wired up to realize the dash hole for old ignition allows too much of this ignition to slide through hole and isn’t straight into hole … looking for recommendations to secure it.. metal washer with neoprone washer again dash? (Can’t move to different dash hole due to having to buy all new wires and require it all which really don’t want to do)

Wonder if one of these would work. The sizes are national pipe sizes. A 3/4" knockout in an electrical panel can use a reducing washer to accept a 1/2" fitting.

1/2" pipe has a .840" OD (27/32")

3/4" pipe has a 1.050" OD (1-3/64")

What is the OD of the switch threads?

What is the hole diameter?

I am not sure the conduit reducing bushings will be small enough for your ignition switch. Perhaps a fender washer with a hole large enough for the ignition switch could be pop-riveted over the too large hole.
