Bill D 2,877 #1 Posted April 24 About 2 months ago I was diagnosed with a 6 mm prolactanoma, which is a tumor on my pituitary gland. Primary symptom is very low testosterone. Any one here have any experience with this? I'm seeing a nuroendocrinologist in May. Standard treatment is medication to shrink the tumor. Surgery if that doesn't work. I appreciate any insight others may have. Thanks 5

Many people don't even know they have one. Because of her psychological training, my wife insisted on a MRI of my brain, if she hadn't I don't think we would have caught it until it was much bigger and causing additional symptoms. 3
squonk 46,825 #5 Posted April 25 I had a enlarged parathyroid gland (Tumor) back in 2019-/20 during Covid. Raised my calcium level to dangerous levels. Was a fun time trying to get it taken care of with everything going on. But I had this great woman surgeon and it was a piece of cake to get it removed. Turned out it was benign. As a reward I got a great fresh scar on my neck for my retirement pic from BOCES!

My tumor had grown so big it was pressing on my optic nerves making my peripheral vision go away, that’s what led me to go to the Dr. I have had good success utilizing my medicine and testosterone replacement therapy. I had to give the medicine a try first, then they checked my prolactin levels and they had dropped significantly. If they hadn’t, would have had to gone the surgery route. Thank the lord I didn’t. I’ll be glad to talk to you about my experiences. If you want to PM me your number or I’ll send you mine.
