Exhaust connections

Does anyone know about how to get this off, as you can see I already chewed this up with channel locks. I’m small but I’m able to stand on the channel locks without it moving

Several methods none easy.  Cut the nipple off 1/2" from the block the nuse the sawsall  inside the nipple cut down until you just see the threads showing then collapse it a bit with a hammer and chisel . then it should come out.  make sure the exhaust valve is closed and vacuum out the shavings.

What Paul said above is the most popular method of removing the old pipe. I use a Sawzall with a fine-tooth metal cutting blade at low speed.

If the engine runs, fire it up and get it hot. Also try tightening too. Once it moves (if it moves) go back and forth tighten loosen with a little more loosen each time.

I do as described above, with one extra step. I do two cuts about 30 degrees apart, using the tip of the sawzall blade. Stop when you see the threads in the blobk. Clamp onto the small section - lift & wiggle it out to remove. Now crush the large portion, twist it counter clockwise to remove it.

Now the part that really matters - clean the block threads. A pipe tap works best - used by hand. A small wire detailing brush will work but takes a lot longer. All this with the exhaust valve closed. Then blow it out with compressed air - a computer keyboard duster can works great for this.

You should have been soaking it with penetrating oil since you owned it.

Got it out pretty easy now it needs tapped

You can make your own poor man's tap. Take a 6 inch nipple to the angle grinder and cut some slots length wise on the threads. It will at least clean out some carbon.

And @WHX?? Jim's method works OK. Certainly not as good as a real tap but...

I use a thin cutting wheel to make the cuts in the threads on one end of the nipple, then use the other threaded side for the new pipe.
