Octotat 15 #1 Posted 8 hours ago I'm struggling a bit to find tires for this old girl, especially the rears. They are dry rotted beyond reason and I would like to swap them out. I could use the original rims, but would really like to go wider in the back so a rim change is probably required. I found a pricy pair of front tire/rim combo on Amazon but they are a bit pricey and I'm not 100% sure they will fit. According to my measurements, they should Amazon.com: (Set of 2) Replacement for Ariens 07101201, 07101202 Keyed 16x4.80-8 Tire Wheel Assy with new improved non directional Snowblower tire : Patio, Lawn & Garden I can find absolutely zip for the 22.5 x 6.00/12 rears. I would love some ideas or some links that could help me out. Also, if anyone knows a muffler that would fit the original Tecumsa engine that would be great.
sqrlgtr 2,388 #2 Posted 7 hours ago those look like matching BFG Silvertowns (real good snow tire IMO) and look like they have plenty of tread left, is there anyway you might be able to put tubes in? I have also "fixed" some pretty bad tires by using the stringy/Kevlar tire sealant, have some that's stayed up for at least 7yr. As far as muffler goes, there is a bunch of different opyions out there just match the threads, I try to get the quietest I can find in my old age.. to RED SQUARE 1
953 nut 64,794 #3 Posted 7 hours ago You might want to look at the inside of those rear tires, they probably could be saved with tubes. Love the old Silvertowns. Try searching for 23 X 600-12, you will get lots of hits on that size, if you want to go wider you could get 8.50 that will fit your rims OK. 3

Here are some rear tire options for you. https://www.millertire.com/categories/lawn-garden-tires/6-12/ Do a search on 6-12 tractor tires for more options The 8" rims that you posted will not work at all, they are designed to be mounted on a drive axle that rotates. Like for a walk behind tiller or snow blower.
