Phan 53 #1 Posted Sunday at 10:23 PM Hey! I want to share the YouTube - testing: Ethanol shiel, Mechinic in, and Sea Foam. For a few years, I have used Sea Foam for WH 312, C160, Auto 12 - it seems to improve a bit on the engine. I've also used Sea Form for 2003 Highlander (it does help a lot!) and 2016 F160. Here the tests show - Any comments for debats?
8ntruck 8,686 #2 Posted Sunday at 10:56 PM Interesting tests. Not sure how relevant they are to how the product acts when run through an engine. I treat my rec fuel with Seafoam at 8oz per 5 gallons of gas. Seems to work OK. Some balky engines it seems to help, others, not so much. After seeing this, I think I'll get some Ethanol Shield or Mechanic in a Bottle to run in Pack Rat, the Allis Chalmers B-110. It has a backfiring issue on throttle down - particularly when it is cold. I'm kind of wondering how much carbon build up it has. Yes, I know I should pull the head and take a look. Maybe I'll get to that this summer.
Retired Wrencher 6,524 #3 Posted yesterday at 09:51 AM (edited) @Phan do you have ethanol free fuel up there in Canada? This helps a lot. Also you don’t have to use a lot of additives been using it now for about three years. Edited yesterday at 09:52 AM by Retired Wrencher
John2189 577 #4 Posted yesterday at 10:36 AM I use an ounce of stabil 360 to 5 gallons of ethanol gas. Since I started using the stabil, I have not had any problems

Wild Bill 633 926 #6 Posted yesterday at 11:03 AM Where do you find a good mechanic in a bottle? That way I could spend time in the house with my Jeannie in the bottle while the wife is at work.

For Sea Foam, I added one a year for Highlander and F150 with a ratio of 10ml:1L fuel. As for WHs, I use each time when I fill the tank.

peter lena 9,803 #10 Posted 23 hours ago @Phan major thing that starts engine break down is VARNISH , without a cleaning / flushing effect , it simply cools down and reheats , for continuous issue , sea foam IS SHOWING YOU THE WAY , in the fuel burn , tried RISLONE ZINK ZDDP , in my engine oils years ago , guess what ? no oil burning at all , 4 oz for 2 qts of oil , also use STA BIL in my fuels , no rubber hose break down , proof ? 2 fuel filters on each tractor, one at tank another just before carb , filters are always clean and clear , also replaced all original rubber hoses , LOVE REPEDITIVE PROBLENS ? dissect it , at every stage , improve / change any fault area , you already know what fails , typically you can't even see that change , example / ? trunnion lever connection , change to a HEIM JOINT , WASHERED UP/ LUBED FOR SOLID MOVEMENT , BOMBPROOF. have a number of those on my horses .none of my engines smoke or run crappy , just how I look at , a REPEDITIVE PROBLEM . MAKE A CHANGE . PETE

I can Handel that. It is really worth it because no degrading of fuel lines. That’s the problem with regular fuel. it just eats away the fuel lines causing all kinds of problems.
