Snowblower and lift assist spring

Recommended Posts

jsp_333

I was researching snowblower stuff on the site yesterday and believe I saw a comment about

"tensioning the lift assist spring too much"

Is that a real thing?  Could that keep the snowblower from sitting flush to an asphalt driveway?

I tighten the nut to the very end of the thread.

WHX??

Guessing a single with manual lift. I don't think you could tighten it enough to make it lift off the payment but it may bounce or skip over high spots?

Yup, it is a tap dance to adjust. Not enough, it is hard to lift. Too much and the blower becomes too light to work correctly....
