need help deciding tire size

I found some clean 23x8.5 wheels the other day I thought would be ideal for my B100 project.

 

Has anybody got pictures they could share of a 10.5in and a 9.5in turf master or multi-trac tire pattern mounted on an 8.5in wheel? 

 

Also could anybody tell me the measurement across the tread of the mounted tire.

 

I want the shoulder to be as square and the tread as flat as possible

Take a gander down through Sparky's thread called, Let's Talk Tires. There's all kinds of excellent information in there.

Tire sizes and aspect ratio varies from one manufacturer to another. Best bet is to have the seller take pictures with a yardstick next to them so you will know what he is selling.

yeah I looked through that tire thread, didnt see anything, so if anybody has some photos handy I'd like to see them

These are 23 x 10,50 x 12 on 8.5 rims with 3 1/4" back set they work as the 308-8 doesn't have a rear mounted gas tank.

23x10.50 turfs mounted on standard 7.5 wide Wheel Horse wheels. 

 

1 inch wheel spacers.

I replace my tires on my WH tractors with the OEM size and type.  I have one set of 71/2" wheels 

with Carlisle ags mounted for garden ploughing.  When I need traction for snow plowing I use chains on turf tires with WH plastic covered wheel weights installed.
