Goldnboy 1,088 #1 Posted yesterday at 12:24 AM (edited) So how far do you go to save your carbs? I came across this one with a ripped out screw hole. Using Jb weld to fix and will retap the treads. Edited yesterday at 12:40 AM by Goldnboy 3
andrewLL 30 #2 Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM Nice fix, but I’m sure the other two screws would be sufficient to hold the air filter housing.
Wild Bill 633 915 #3 Posted yesterday at 09:47 AM I like to use E-Z Lok solid wall thread inserts. They come in standard and thin wall. To use the standard wall, you drill and tap and install. To use the thin wall, you drill and tap and then use a slightly bigger drill to remove the peaks of the internal threads, then install.
