Chav88 32 #1 Posted March 6 Hello, I recently purchased a D160 to serve the purpose of a compact work horse for a new property I bought. The main reason I got it was that for the price there was no better options that could mow, navigate tight areas, and had a hydro 3 point hitch. After bringing it home I realized that I didn’t have the mule drive to drive the deck and now I want to make sure why I’m finding on eBay is compatible. initially I thought the deck was wrong but after some images in manuals I think it’s correct but the chute is missing is all. JoeM 9,706 #4 Posted March 6 I might have one, I'll check tomorrow. Might be pretty pricey to ship tho. I'll let you know.

peter lena 9,812 #10 Posted March 7 @Chav88 word of advise , opportunity , when you finally find a mule drive , would carefully disassemble it , lay out all out , so it goes back the same way , bearing lubrication failure is very common , wide rubber side grease shields are easily removed with a flat pocket screwdriver . or small flat putty knife , no roughousung , should pop out easily , thoroughly wipe out , carb flush / clean , lucas X-TRA HEAVY DUTY GREASE , 550 deg flash point , polyurea rated , no whyining noise . would bet the deck also needs a tune up, that COLLECTIVE DRAG / NOISE tells you what is going on .done a number of decks over , the functional difference is amazingly smooth / quiet . you are right on the door step , pete

I’m very much a stickler for repairing and rebuilding things properly. I’m a HVACR tech for Critical systems so in my book there is only 1 way to do things and it’s the right way.
