8-Speed Parts

It turns out the mighty Wheelhorse has some limitations. I was thrashing it hard while plowing snow during the past storm and ended up with a busted up differential. Luckily I had spare tranny and was able to do a quick swap (about 2 1/2 hrs)

This is a 312-8 with the 1" axles and 4- pinions Looks like I need pinion part # 101626 (4/ea) and differential axle gears #3908 (2/ea).

Who's the go to guy for these parts?

@76c12091520h  Brian Badman could probably help you out with replacement parts but, it would behoove you to upgrade to the heavier duty 8-speed anyway. Find one that has the 1 1/8" axles with eight pinions.

Thanks I'll be on the look out for the upgraded gearbox

I take it the transmission you swapped in was identical? Another one with one inch axles?

You can't beat that deal with a stick. :occasion-xmas:  Just asking...You are not grinding your gears, are you ??  Shifting too fast between reverse and a forward gear can do that to a transmission.  I know it was a Hell of a storm.  :occasion-snowman:

you are probably right on the shifting too fast between forward and reverse,

I used to be hard in the snow on my B-100-8 speed transmission (1-1/8" axles and 8 pinions).  However, I never did any damage. Then 22 years later I upgraded to a 416-H with an Eaton 1100. Less wear and tear on the transmission and more importantly, less wear and tear on me.
