smitty316 25 #1 Posted 9 hours ago I have a 416-8 with bad rear tires. They're 23 X 9.5 - 12 turf tires. I came across some 23 X 10.5 - 12 tractor tires (V shaped tread), but on 4 lug rims. Would it work to have these tractor tires put on my original rims? I'm guessing that I would have to slide the hubs out a little. Would that be a problem if I did? Anyone done this before? kpinnc 17,038 #6 Posted 1 hour ago If I'm understanding your post I have one concern to point out. V bar or ag tires tend to be stiffer across the tread than turf tires. When you put 10.50 width tires on standard Wheel Horse 7.5 wide rims, the sidewalls do most of the flexing. Because of this, they can be dang near impossible to seat the bead. I created a whole new dialect in my garage attempting to do this, so I know what I'm talking about. So if you get them, do yourself a favor and put tubes in the tires.
