smitty316 25 #1 Posted 8 hours ago I have a 416-8 with bad rear tires. They're 23 X 9.5 - 12 turf tires. I came across some 23 X 10.5 - 12 tractor tires (V shaped tread), but on 4 lug rims. Would it work to have these tractor tires put on my original rims? I'm guessing that I would have to slide the hubs out a little. Would that be a problem if I did? Anyone done this before? Thanks, Smitty
8ntruck 8,580 #2 Posted 7 hours ago That swap should work. Probably won't need to move the hubs, as the 1" section width difference will end up being an additional 1/2" or so per side.
ri702bill 11,153 #3 Posted 7 hours ago I for one would not slide the hubs out for clearance if needed. Two options - different rims with less rear offset, or wheel spacers. The grub screw position over the axle key is somewhat critical...
Achto 30,870 #4 Posted 1 hour ago Like stated above. Should be a direct swap with no alterations needed.
