Footrest options...??

Recommended Posts

Crow Horse

I use my WH almost every day and have worn off the paint on the footrests. What is a good material to apply to them?

I've considered the "traction tape", aluminum diamond plate, various other synthetics (outdoor field & track material etc., etc.) but would like to hear what others have used.........

I use the non-skid pads we use on the floor of our C-5 Galaxy's! They are they perfect size, 3M makes them. Or you can try the Vendors section at the bottom, a member here sells custom made ones...

Crow a member here "kj4kicks / Eldon" sells mats all cut & ready to install.

I don't have these on any of my Horses, but I've heard they are top notch from friends that do.

Grip tape works like mentioned above.

I cut my own from rubber mat since I have a good supply.

If you browse through the picture gallery you'll see some members have diamond plate covers for there floor boards.

I just bought a 416 a few weeks back with carpet on the floor boards...... :scratchead:

There are two holes in the metal footrests on my 310-8 that I bolted my footrest

material to. I used truck tire re-treads for footrests. The retreads are what you

see laying along the highway after they are blown off the tire. They should help

my feet stay a little warmer when plowing. No more boots on bare metal.

I use what I have, had some 3M safety tread 2" wide left over from a few years ago.

Here is the picture.
