https://www.grainger.com/product/ADVANTUS-ID-Badge-Clip-Adapters-362C45   been using these for years on my  throttle  lever  arm , fits exactly  in place  snug , never loose it , just clip it on with a  braid cord to your keys , having lost my keys at  one time or another  , during  usage , having it  gripping the  lever arm like it was made for it  , is the answer  , always had  ID  badges from work , just an idea , pete

@JoeM  thanks for the  look, as usual  always making up / trying something  / anything  for an issue . as you  squeeze  that clip  onto the tapered lever  , the narrower end  holds that clip ,  , even the lip on the clip  assists the tight hold , regularly  use a 1/8 " nylon cord , match melted ends , for very  secure  tie offs , since doing this  no key issues , pete
