FarmallFarmer09 15 #1 Posted 19 hours ago Hey, So ive had this badass idea ive wanted to do for awhile ive seen some other guys do, I want to put one of those tractor stack mufflers on my k301s. From asking around, I plan on buying the muffler from tsc, the one built for the farmall A or B. Do you guys have any info i should keep in mind? Specs? I dont think i need to be worried about backpressure, the tsc mufflers are pretty straight thru. Thanks! 702854boy 440 #2 Posted 18 hours ago Another option you could go with is a Cub muffler, as it has a 1 inch end on it so you would just need a hose clamp instead of having to weld it on. ri702bill 11,109 #4 Posted 11 hours ago I did similar on my 854 to what Kevin did on the 502. I used a 12" straight thru glasspack muffler. A lower brace - to the engine - is strongly recommended. Back pressure - the small engines rely on a small amount of it. I have a disc with holes in it sandwiched between the muffler outlet and the top pipe. The length of the top pipe affects the sound... start long, trim to suit. The 1 x 1 x 1/2 Run Tee with a modified 1/2" pipe plug makes for a simple lower mounting point. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
AlexR 2,449 #5 Posted 11 hours ago Here is how I braced mine I attached it to the clamp on the bottom of the muffler. With another piece of bar coming from the other side of the frame and bolted to the bar on the muffler side. Like others have said if you are just getting a TSC muffler a Cub muffler works best I believe it's labeled as IH-1 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
