Is this an issue?

I purchased a 416H yesterday. While looking her over, I found this. It's not bolted to the engine tin & seems to have a very large gap betwen it and the engine tin. Should I be concerned?

No, it'll run without it, but I'd find a way to bolt it back down. The hose on the back is a vacuum hose which runs your pump.

I agree. Maybe put a normal fuel line clamp on so it’ll fit through the hole like it is supposed to or maybe make the hole bigger so you can use that hose clamp?

The pulse hose appears to be rotten, replace it with the proper clamps like is on the fuel hose in the photo.  It is a tough job to replace without removing the blower housing, but that is a good time to clean the fins and inspect in there.  It is amazing how so many can go out of their way to foul up a tractor.

I'll third that. The hose isn't very long. That's about as far as it comes out and can be a bit of a pain to get a spring clamp on as Junior suggested. Can be done tho. The connection is not barbed and the pump can be pulled off with any style clamp.

Not to make more work for ya CD but good idea. Can lengthen the hose a bit then.

I cut a fuel line a couple inches too long and that way it will hang out of the hole till it is buttoned up.  Then I cut it to length last thing.  That hose length needs to be just right so it doesn't kink or pull on the pump.
