TT-(Moderator) 1,158 #2 Posted February 15, 2008 I've never been in to one of them Perry, but the service kit for the #6621 valve was P/N 7788. It is showing "discontinued" everywhere I look, but you might be able to turn one up at an old dealer, or maybe on ebay. The valve itself was used on the HY-6 hydraulic lift (yours) all the way up through the Charger's & Electro's to the 1973 10 thru 16 horsepower automatics. I would guess it's just dried out, and you could probably get seals/o-rings from NAPA or a good hydraulic repair shop. We used to dump a little shot of brake fluid in a car transmission to swell and soften the seals, but I wouldn't do that to the Sundstrand. If it's not a terrible leak, maybe you could try some seal conditioner for automatic car transmissions? It might hold you over until spring.
perry 82 #3 Posted February 16, 2008 its not a terrible leak. seems to mostly leak when the plow gets all the way up. i noticed i am holding the valve up to long and causing pressure. but i cant diddy daddle around when im out there plowing snow. its balls to the wall no holding back. GET"R'DONE i believe this tractor has never had a snow plow on it. prombaly just been lifting the deck mostly. looks like ill have to dig into it.

TT-(Moderator) 1,158 #6 Posted February 16, 2008 It looks like Joe slaughtered a decent Electro 12 this time. Did you happen to notice the transaxle that came out of that tractor? It isn't the original Electro 12 transaxle -- it's one of the last Sundstrands used in the C series. (it has brakes )
perry 82 #7 Posted February 16, 2008 i always wonder where he finds these tractors . one night i researched his feedback and saw some stuff he won on ebay. he has bought some nice tractors for alot of money just to part them. for example he bought a mid 70's red cub cadet for around $800, and a high end simplicity compact tractor for $1500. and then parted them . he must just like to keep his parts inventory up . TT-(Moderator) 1,158 #8 Posted February 16, 2008 Yeah... and not ALL of the parts he puts on sells either. I'm sure he has to scrap a lot of the carcasses (which you even get decent money for scrap these days) and has the old oil, tires, etc. to deal with disposing of. Apparently he's making enough money on what does sell to offset the cost of what doesn't -- and finance the "new" ones he parts out. I won't complain about his business though -- there's quite a few parts from there on my tractors!
