Gas bleeding out of the air filter housing, so I’m guessing the carb needs some attention - probably the float I suspected wasn’t quite right last time I futzed with the thing but not quite enough - after installing the electric pump. I don’t know why that would stop it from starting though. Flooded? Ran fine a couple of months ago after settling it up for winter. Any other diagnostic suggestions anybody might have would be most welcome. The B-80 plowed like a champ, though, even if the snow was piling up faster than it could be pushed out of the way. Strained a muscle working that plow index control lever a thousand times, too! Really wanted to use the blower on this, but such is life.
pfrederi 19,608 #27 Posted 1 hour ago (edited) If gas is running out the carb your float valve is stuck open or the electric pump you put on is too High PSI Give the carb bowl a few sharp raps with a hammer preferably rubber/plastic. The throttle wide open no choke crank her for a while Edited 1 hour ago by pfrederi
John c 132 #28 Posted 22 minutes ago take some heat tape for pipes, wrap it around the engine, starter and battery, hopefully you've already got some 120v in the area for the battery charger, plug the heat tape in and the next time you need it., the battery and the engine should be warm enough to spin right over on a moments notice
