rmaynard 16,820 #1 Posted January 21 I spent the better part of the day removing and cleaning my gas tank, replacing the fuel lines, and installing the 1-3 psi electric fuel pump on the 416-H. All went well until the first test run. Engine started, but it went to full throttle with throttle lever set a idle. I had to stop and move on to another project. Having not touched anything other than the fuel delivery system, I somehow must have done something to the throttle, but I can't look at it again until 10 PM tonight. As Roseanne Roseannadana said, "it's always something".

I've done it more than once .

All fixed.
My_horse 73 #4 Posted January 23 Ordered a new mechanical fuel pump for my 314-8 today, and filters and new fuel line. seem to be getting only a small amount of fuel in the filter, and long cold cranking times to get it started. It’s 26 years old with original pump and lines. Not always fed ethanol free, until a few years ago. It’s probably time.

All fixed. Bob glade you found the problem. Looks like winter is here now for some of us. It’s always good to be ready. Not looking forward to possible 1 foot or more of snow coming our way. Well that’s winter.

But lately I have been doing the opposite way. I find it easier to blow first then plow cause ,my wife had both her knees done and she wants it down to it the pavement. Can’t blame her. Stay safe.
