I figured I should get in a ride while the getting is good because of the uncertain weather conditions nowadays.

Absolutely beautiful trails in the snow! :bow-blue:

Always good to take the horses for a brisk walk on occasion!

I figured I should get in a ride while the getting is good because of the uncertain weather conditions nowadays. I used the Side x Side to pack  roughly 6 '' of snow on the ground. The 418-A is my mowing tractor and it's nice to get behind the wheel with no mower deck and wind it up some. This was on Thursday after lunch.

Envious of the snow, yesterday we had about an inch of rain...

Definitely digging the :wh: maintained survivor! She's a beaut Clark!

Got out this afternoon. There’s a loggging company working the woods so the trails are pretty much ruined and it’s tough to get around, also downed trees and limbs everywhere, but I still enjoy getting out.

Check with the loggers to see what their departure rules are for the height of "brush & slash".

Brush and slash is the term for whatever's left behind after a harvest. Here in Maine the rule is a maximum 4 feet I believe.

Also check to see if they'll be cleaning and flattening out the trails again. Likely not but that's NOT the logger's fault. They're doing what the land owner pays for.

They’ll be here for another 18-24 months. Not my property (I have full permission to be on it) so I have no plans to question the logging guys.
I do think that the skidder will give us new trails once they are finally done and gone that we’ll just have to clean up some and maintain.
