A vital piece if you want to put a deck on.

Another option is to get a new Tach-a-matic belly hitch and run newer decks. Factory holes are already in the frame.

Fabbing a front hitch for the mule drive is easy. Also has holes in the frame. All you need are a couple pieces of flat bar and a front hitch from a newer (1974 and up) machine. I had to cut the one on my Bronco in the pic below to get around the hood stops but you won't have to on a 1257.

No not really rare Junior but a huge bonus if in decent shape. With only two of those long spokes they broke from weight when mounting and dismounting. They were then discontinued and replaced by the very common one on '68 Raiders and just about everything until the "soft touch" ones came out.

I I'll second ... :banana-rock:

This the tractor you need the SG light for?

I third that.  :text-yeahthat:

Finally got the new heater installed in the garage so now it’s comfortable to work in there.

Got the belt guard painted that I got from @Easton Rich probably 2 weeks ago and it’s just been sitting inside. Today we turned the heater on and brought the tractor inside. Mounted up the belt guard and installed the fuel tank I decided to use. And finished up routing the fuel line and installed shut off and filter. Too dark to see of it drives so the maiden voyage will be tommorow.
Also, in the last picture there is a weird little round piece that went on the foot peg. I’m thinking it’s for a mower deck? I took it off as I have no use for it.

Tony in that third pick you should have two  6 Gage  wires from the switch to the generator and one from the battery to the switch. Also a heavey wire to the ground to the battery. They need heavy  wire to correctly operate. But once it is done you will be happy.

Yes it's for hanging the rear of the deck mule drive off of. I would encourage you to leave it on to avoid losing it. A vital piece if you want to put a deck on.

Any luck with the SG light?

Just so you know the original gas tanks are pretty available if you want to go that route.

Ok thanks for the info.

Havent put the light on yet as I’m just trying to get it driving now.

For the gas tank I decided to just use a snowblower take since we have a lot of them and they are plastic so it won’t rot out.

It went on its voyage! It hasn’t been started in a month and I barely even bumped the key and it fired right up. It shifts through all the gears nicely and drives smooth. But I was coming back up the driveway and it was like the choke turned on. Made it back up and leaking gas from the front of the carb. Needs a carb rebuild. Also I need throttle cable so I will be posting a wanted add for that. Sorry no pictures or videos.
