I'd love a 1257 with hydraulics.

8HP is plenty for most of what I do, but every so often I need, or would like to, run something that needs that extra umph.

@WHX?? sold me a 1257 with a HY2 unit installed. Brought it back with me from the Big Show in PA. and it is awesome. Have a 48" snow plow on it. You will love it. To quote @WHX?? from another thread, "Just sumin special about looking down the long square hood of a 60's model Wheel Horse". May not be exact quote but close enough for guberment work.

@TonyToro Jr. hard to tell in pic but does it have the 15" steering wheel also.

I really don't know if they are a unicorn, but I know a lot of guys like them. This is the only one I've ever had but they may have made thousands. IDk. Maybe others will come along and tell us.

No not really rare Junior but a huge bonus if in decent shape. With only two of those long spokes they broke from weight when mounting and dismounting. They were then discontinued and replaced by the very common one on '68 Raiders and just about everything until the "soft touch" ones came out.

I love my 1257, had it since my dad gave it to me 10 years ago. My favorite WH tractor. Yours looks like a solid rig 👍

Tony boy does that bring back some memories good and bad. I’ve had four of these 1257 one of my favorites. It has a nice feel at the steering wheel and the foot rest. I’ve always liked sitting over the tractor not in the tractor. The engine sounds good. Nice smooth idle.

Did some cleaning yesterday night. And came how way better then I was expecting. Still have to clean the rims and find a belt guard though.

Do have some other plans for this tractor as well

WHX??

Really does look nice. :thumbs2: Orginal and other than some misplaced paint unmolested.

Kinda ticks a guy off the belt guard is MIA. Guessing you asked the PO if it was just laying around? Did you happen to give A-Z a jingle about one?

I'll look to see if I have one but don't pin your hopes on it.

Tell ya what I do have for it is a deck. Free if you can figure out how to get it at the Big Show.

Yes we asked the guy that bought it from PO just for the rear tires and he talked to the PO and said nope that is long gone.

Tony I have a fender and the seat pan so you could have Matt make up a seat for that would be original to that tractor like this one. let me know if you’re interested.
