Should be ok I use 1 1/4. Depends on if you went with spacers and what they would take.

My pics above are 114 with a thick washer under the head.

I have 3/4” spacers on my 416h and actually did wheel studs and also drilled and tapped the hubs and spacers so the spacers bolt to the hub and I don’t have to fight either trying to keep the spacers lined up perfectly while mounting the tire.  My tires are loaded so was a pain to try and do all at once

I have a question about the threaded rod. It looks like Grainger has two different grades. One is a “grade A” and the other is a”grade 2”. 

I was thinking in a wheel stud bolt I needed grade 5 or higher. Will the lower grades work without bending?

 

I’m not sure what grade A is. I’m used to seeing the grade as a number

McMaster Carr has threaded rod that’s grade BD. I think that’s similar to grade 8 right?

I was pointing out that when you went beyond 1-1/2 inch (which work out to be about .70 each) they go to over $3.00 each or over $30.00 per

 tractor...That is ouch.

BD rod is actually a bit stronger than bolts 170,000 vs 150,000...

TSC has them for roughly a buck twenty each depending on length.

Yes, the wheel studs and bolts are seeing zero bending.  If the lug nuts were loose  enough to allow the wheel to rotate on the hub, then they would see a shear load..     If the lug nuts are tightened properly they are only seeing tension to clamp the wheel tightly to the hub.   A low grade bolt or stud is rated at 60,000 PSI tensile.    Five low grade bolts or studs if torqued to 75% of thier breaking point would apply over 30,000pounds of clamping force to the wheel and hub.
