855project 25 #1 Posted Thursday at 05:00 PM My nephew and I displayed at the Badger Steam and Gas show this year, he went into the swap meet unattended and came back with this 855 horse, I'm not the best documentor and we have it partially torn down now, but after using the site to get the wiring and voltage regulator sorted out I figured maybe you guys would like to see what we are up to. 3
ri702bill 10,824 #2 Posted Thursday at 05:11 PM Welcome! Making a puller?? A couple of items to consider... That has the rear flip-up seat pan - be SURE the latch is functioning properly and stays closed. Once it flips up with you on it, you'll understand why they no longer make them that way!!! Do check the condition of the "F" plate on the frame - it is where the Unidrive bolts on. Very common to find severe cracking around the 4 bolt holes... If cracked, now is the time to fix it the right way.

855project 25 #7 Posted yesterday at 02:18 AM ri702bill it's funny you say that about the seat, we were talking about that when we took it apart that it seemed easy to flip off the back haha. Will have to take a look at the F plate this week, hoping to get some progress the next couple weeks before something else comes up that gets in the way.

855project 25 #11 Posted 1 hour ago The short time I've been here the community is already awesome, has me really fired up to work on the wheelhorse, the next couple days I'll have some updates, when I get a few minutes to work on some stuff. What is your guys go to source for voltage regulators? Mine is the style with the little wire coming out the bottom, it works for now but the one if the contacts is pretty burned and I think I'll just get a new one for when we get that far.
