@Achto  looks like a penetrating oil soak down , clean cloth mineral  oil , finish , no scrubbing of any kind , the patina will find itself , also  note the frame corner underside 90 degree angle opportunity ? reduce rubber fuel line ? 5/16  steel brake line  , also like STA BIL  in all my fuels , no / zero debris  in any related filters or carb bowls , never  leave an empty tank , always ad  an ounce or 2 , always  trying something  , if I had your shop  space , I would be in more trouble than i,m already in , pete

I thought they came with the side shifter model BD4271 with the foot pedal release. 

I know the 64 604 we had had the plow you pictured with the 702. Maybe they used both and was a buyer's choice?

’63 Blade was the last model with the foot-pedal release for rotation and the last time the quadrant was open at the top with close-spaced holes for three positions. Also first time trip springs had cast iron end-pieces.

Starting in ’64, quadrant was enclosed (top and bottom) with handgrip actuated rotation release.

  ’63 also last to have welded-on skid holders

Had a friend who's brother's puppy ate the front end off of a Saturn. All plastic!

Yep! No rust!! At least not where you can see it. Bottom side of mine is not pretty, but it gets me where I wanna go. Cheap on gas too.

Depending on when the tractor sold or the plow bought....

@Handy Don  love that  plow  swing quadrant , a tuned up swing lever  , unless you already have it , makes those   swing with ease also like the blade slide disks , ever try a spring on those ?  love experimenting   with anything  , the more you use it ,  the more  detailing you can add . just out plowing  last nights  sub zero  snow  , powder dry snow , plowin fool , more seat time . pete

High tech air exchange unit. Professionally installed by an HVAC expert.  

 

As you can see by the surrounding area, it has had a fair amount of paint fumes run through it. I remove it every now & then and clean the big chunks off with a plow gun. 

 

 BTW - I know you are retired and all now @WHX??. I was just wondering if this thing is still under warranty?  It quit on me once today, started back up after it sat for about 5 min.

The sheet metal that I primed gray yesterday received a mist coat red oxide today. This will serve as a guide coat when I'm wet sanding. Sand all the red oxide off and you know you are finished.

 

Out with the rims & primed sheet metal, in with all the rest of the parts that need to be painted red. First 2 coats of red oxide enamel primer.

 

Then sit back for an hour and wait for the primer to flash off completely.  ( Waiting is my least favorite part of painting ) 

 

Finally time to let the red fly. 

 

@wallfish Yesterdays gray floor is now red.

Me too and a big reason why nothing gets painted here. LOL

Finger prints put it in the custom category ...  kinda like the Ponds signing a tractor ... 

 

Say Dan what are you using for paint ? The Van Sickle enamel? 

I do have two full cans of their acrylic enamel for touch ups if is helps.  Musta bought it before they quit offering. 

I really like it. Dries wicked fast and somewhat hard.

The last full tractor I painted (2019) had plenty of those custom finger prints in the paint because of being so impatient to get those parts together. So it's custom in more ways than one! LOL

Those pretty little parts hanging around is about the same thing as a "Don't Look In Here" sign! I'm just compelled to do the wrong thing.

I would call a reputable local HVAC mechanic and have him pull that blower and clean it so you can save some energy. Don't let him rip you off!

I'm not entirely sure, But I paint everything this way with no issues. I think the key is spraying the clear when the red is wet. I believe the clear has more drying agents in it and it just mixes into the color.

 

Paint something small this way on a worker and try it an see. I've painted wheels body panels and engines this way.
