groundhog47 358 #1 Posted 14 hours ago (edited) In 2017 Traded for unknown Wheel Horse, pictures will follow. It has set in my back yard as unloaded and I have searched all data I could find but have found members here have an eye for detail beyond printed data. Believe I have it narrowed to 1055, 1056, or maybe 1057. How I know it is 10 hp elude me, but in suntanning for last 6 yrs. in my back yard may have bleached engine decal if it had one when it arrived. It is 4 (edited) sp and came with a rope start cord in toolbox under seat fender. Rear axles locked up and shifter will only go back and forth, water probably filled transaxle. Anyway now that I'm getting back to normal, I see potential. Thanks for any help, and as said researched ALL DATA I could find Oh,yes vin ID plate/sticker on tractor and engine missing, painted over, or otherwise missing. I think it should be a riveted tag? But I'm not sure. @WHX?? or @Achto Do you know?

I will try a light rub of acetone in that area, don't have much to lose i suppose. And no tag plate on engine but see a remanence where coil would be affixed. I just cringe when someone calls something wrongly, especially on a sale intent. Some of those places most of us HA HA adore. There are some who were just told wrong. Achto 30,228 #11 Posted 10 hours ago 4 hours ago, groundhog47 said: Believe I have it narrowed to 1055, 1056, or maybe 1057 A 1057 would have had a cut out in the hood for head lights. If it did not have head lights, then the white plastic cover plate would have been installed. A 1056 would not have a cut out in the headlight area. A 1055 would not have the headlight cut out and would be a short frame with a length of 61 inches instead of the 65" length that the 2 above have.
WHX?? 53,404 #12 Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Steering wheel says long frame '67. Only models with that wheel were 953/1054 and 66 - 67 longs. Might find a very early 68 Raider with one. BTW those steering wheels are hen's teeth these days. Big battery box is pointing to a 10 or 1257. Very few mid sixties used it... 1076, 1077 & long frame gear jammer '67s. The motor has a tin on it that is not right for the year.. Should have a wrap around on the backside. Any ID plate on the motor that's readable? Tag is prolly gone but yes the two rivet holes would be there. Edited 9 hours ago by WHX?? speeling 2

I'm thinking someone is still smirking about the missing ID plates, but I don't give up easily. If they messed up ID on trans, which only removes the 1055, I'll still be guessing.
