Belt replacement 6-6214 snowblower

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone Merry Christmas.

I recently snapped a belt on my 6-6214 snowblower.  For the life of me I can't figure out how to remove the pulley off the blower to get the belt in behind. Any help would be much appreciated.

There is a set screw holding the pulley to the shaft but after it is backed off the pulley may be seized to the shaft. Easy to destroy the pulley trying to get it off. You may gain enough clearance between the pulley and blower housing by removing the three bolts from the bearing retainer. They are easily replaced if they break.
