Wheelhorse vendors I Need 856 ignition. Kohler 181. Has points.

Wondering if any Wheelhorse vendors have an ignition for an 856, orignal Kohler 181 with points. Battery. Attached picture of the ignition currently on there.

I kinda think that depends on the engine that is in it? Kohler? Tecumseh? Briggs? Battery ignition? Magneto Ignition? Points or Solid State? Lotta missing info here.

That's not the original switch, does yours have a solenoid anywhere?

If the heavy black wires go directly to the Battery and Starter/Generator A terminal Wheelhorse parts and More has one that should work.

When attempting to turn engine over with key.. it did twice then nothing.. but it turned over when bypassed that switch with jumper cables to regulator where that same wire from key switch goes to

That switch wasn't made for high amp output and could have easily fried. You'll want to get the correct switch to avoid potential disaster. The correct one was posted in the link above.
