replacing a Kohler M-18

Recommended Posts

cod

Any chance that other manufacturers used the same Kohler M-18 as Wheel Horse did with the 1-1/8" crankshaft?  Unfortunately after 2000 hrs, mine is fading and if I can, I'd like to replace it.  I think they're a great engine and "if" I could find a younger one, I'd be interested.

As always, suggestions and comments are appreciated.

Thanks!

Yep, some Cubs used them, but they used electric clutches because there are no thrust washers on the crank.

Lots of companies used 1-1/8" however M-18s With thrust bearings are fairly rare.  Electric PTO is an option
