RJ59 with Rare Dozer Plow

Had a great Time with my RJ pushing 4” of wet snow. Pushed with ease even without weights or chains, but ground isn’t frozen solid yet. Tried to represent those old ads of those Pipe Smokers.

Update to this early dozer setup. Have it all cleaned up and painted for showings.

Heres plow setup on my RJ. The handle on right side is what angles the blade after the right pedal is depressed to release the pin. Working this summer on blasting & painting plow to make it look as nice as the tractor

That’s the HD42, I have that style also, works in the 60/61 models also. Foot pedal on right side also on the first version. And a rope on top of blade to pull it left or right angle, I like your addition, that arm is a great idea.

I dont know anything about it. As you see it is how my setup was when I bought it from @Buckeyes

Yep! My 654 will push way more snow than my neighbors box store 22hp green tractor.

My C85 with a K181 8hp throws every bit of 30 feet and 14” of snow. My RJ59 and 400 Suburban plows just as easily with 4hp K91.

My point exactly!

‘course we don’t see any of that powder stuff here. It’s alway somewhere between damp and slushy. Hence plow not blow.

Is this RJ blade 36" wide? There was a SPR-36 available in 1955 with little else known about it. It was followed by model SPR-42 1956-1959 and HD-42 1959-1960 which became BD-4261 in 1961.

It is 42” wide. Note: I made up the decal and serial number tag that’s on it, neither is necessarily period correct. I had bought the RJ with the frame bracket already on it. It had been on most likely since new because the id tag was partially there and good red paint under it, unfortunately id tag numbers were worn off. I have seen on The forum others that have this same setup. I found the blade and frame (ironically without the part I already had on the tractor) and it all came together. The owner of the blade only knew that it had been on a WH he ran around on as a teenager.
