Rick53 3 #1 Posted 9 hours ago My life lever works just fine with no weight . But once I added my blower attachment that came with the tractor, it refuse to lock in place. Sometimes it with lock but slips out as soon as I start to move. We are getting bombarded with Snow . Almost 16 inches in 2 days, with another 8-12 inches coming today. I managed to use it Yesterday by physically holding it up myself while backing up or turning. My arm is killing me Any help is much appreciated
ri702bill 10,399 #2 Posted 9 hours ago Rick - download the IPM exploded view parts list for your tractor. My money is on the compression spring inside the handle. It may be broken or rusted so badly it cannot do its job. Another is lack of lubrication- - the inner rod acts like a wick in the rain...

Worked fine with mower deck -just won't lock up with heavy snowblower. So it's likely some adjustment . The parts you mention were easy to install and I thought that was the fix as it held in place for a couple of passes and then slips out of the lock . Thanks though Edited 9 hours ago by Rick53
ri702bill 10,399 #4 Posted 9 hours ago Hmmm... excessive wear in the mechanism?? Corners that should be square rounded off creating that "exit ramp" effect??
