Mattrix 0 #1 Posted 4 hours ago hello everyone. Im new to the world of wheel horses. Always wanted one but never had the opportunity. Just purchased my first wheel horse and the main drive pulley on the motor has some play in it. Fella i bought it from said it was supposed to be that way. Just wanted to verify if that is true. Everyone have a very blessed day
ri702bill 10,197 #2 Posted 3 hours ago Welcome! But we can't do anything without knowing which model tractor. Perhaps a few closeup pictures of the item in question??

pfrederi 19,062 #4 Posted 1 hour ago The outer cone shaped part will move in and out and spin freely with the PTO disengaged. The part your finger tip is on should not move.
Mattrix 0 #5 Posted 45 minutes ago Ok thank you. I didn’t figure it should. I’ll pull it apart. Thank you for your help
ri702bill 10,197 #6 Posted 20 minutes ago OK - so I's seeing the bell style PTO on a black Kohler Magnum. DO download the IPL manual for your tractor;it has the exploded views to help you figure how it goes together. As mentioned, the inner most pulley and clutch disc should not move with the engine off as they are keyed and fastened to the output shaft of the engine. The rest is free to rotate on its own.
