JimSraj 558 #1 Posted November 8 Been considering buying a 1999 14 hp 73449 for a snowblower machine. In checking the compatibility charts it appears as though my 06-42ST 05 won’t play with that tractor. Anyone know what is not going to match up? Unless I’m not reading the charts correctly 73449 is compatible with 79263, 79360 and 79361.
pfrederi 19,074 #2 Posted November 8 Not expert on the new stuff but isn't the tractor you are looking at a 314-8 classic ??? if so the 06-42ST should work
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,775 #3 Posted November 8 79263 is for a tractor with a vertical engine crankshaft. 79360 single-stage and 79361 two-stage will fit the 314-8.

JimSraj 558 #5 Posted November 9 Thanks everyone. Info was helpful. Turns out the seller agreed to meet this morning but then sold the tractor without even letting me know. can’t say I blame him for selling but pretty inconsiderate to say we were still on to meet this morning when I texted him yesterday afternoon.

Integrity has left the building. Even on here I have had some to agree to buy something and then nothing. 1

This happened a couple times to me when buying online. I now tell folks if I am really interested in buying something and it has a reasonably good price for the item I may pay more if it is there when I get there, This tends to smoke out a good seller that is not just interested in who arrives first with the cash. Yes integrity is a problem and so is the selling online for both the buyer and seller. Even when you speak on the phone you can't always determine the basic honesty or integrity of the seller. Plus photos and written descriptions do not always tell the whole story! Yes Buyer Beware -caveat emptor !
