AHS 1,566 #1 Posted November 4 New paint, chain, auger bearings and sprockets. New paint… where it counts! So, I’ve put the auger in and tightened up the bolts on the sides and i have a 1/4” of play between the auger and the body. The auger will slide 1/4” in the body. I’ve got the two washers on each side where the auger bearings are. I don’t know if it’s supposed to be this way? Or if the 30 year old snowblower is so outa whack!? This is. What i was talking about, right in my pictures. Also, my top sprocket seems to be slid over.
Racinbob 12,447 #2 Posted November 5 From your pictures the only real thing I can see is the misalignment in the second shot. I didn't duplicate shots on my blower but there's no side to side play at all. 1/4" is definitely not right. A little modification you might want to add. It does get the snow in the air better. But one thing is always a rule with snow throwers. Whichever way you point the chute, it will be IN TO the wind.

Loose carriage bolts , bent etc. Needs to be checked further.
AHS 1,566 #4 Posted November 5 Ok, the top sprocket needs to be slid over. I have another 79360 that has play in it.
