Always the tough part. Fab it up, measure 18 times, temp install, and then stare and think for an hour... At least that's how my work goes!

My wife thinks I'm crazy, and every time she walks into the garage and sees me staring at something she feels her diagnosis is confirmed!

I sometimes stare if something goes together, like is it really going to work! Then mind you, I come into the house and begin "trying" to explain my subject to the wife, what I was doing, describing parts and how they go together, etc. That's when that slight smile pops up and I know I might as well be speaking Greek! :deadhorse:

I set up the assembly with things loose check for alignment issues, seems good.

Used a 1/2-39 belt, could go to standard 38, (store was out), none too shabby.IMG_2182.jpeg.6e898074f144befd55b42410ee7e825b.jpeg

Alignment issues dead on, shaft is 11”

This should work

Shaft is set just flush. Time for some new carriage bolts, 4,5/16-3/4 and two 5/16-1

Adjusting the clutch brake is always fun, not too tight, not too loose!

I've always wanted a sickle bar. What a handy thing to have to cut around ditch banks and fences!

Beautiful tractor! I look forward to seeing the sickle all mounted up.

My wife says "mutts" are the best. I agreed with her of course.

I have the lift rod and travel hook & bracket. So far, the lift rod is too short, so I fit my own rod with a trunnion

Fit my 10-24’s and shook the grease , debris loose. No leaks!IMG_2215.jpeg.6edd9157f6a9961ebff2c30b1e4097d3.jpeg

After a thorough examination of internals very happy with the condition and may not need a rebuild

WEBB still has the 102500's, however it was mentioned the 7/32x1/2 rivet, which is slightly larger than the 3/16

Not sure where you’re heading with the clip & spring, maybe enlighten me on that one.

30wt oil will be my lube as per manual, hopefully she won’t leak!

@Manicmacanic  usually a  vibrating / noisy set up , found a  spring tension , lets it work  without the bounce , guess 30 wt   is the call , thought it would be more enhanced / rating  . pete

Some have run thicker/heavier lube types due to leakage, however if it leaks needs rebuilt.

I had it soaking internally with mineral oil to clean it out and no leaks with that.

Although not a perfect science I will fill the box 30wt  and let it set before attaching it to the assembly.

(Would make it easier to have it full prior)

Where was this spring to attach again, off the bar to where exactly and has this been done
