Fab it up, measure 18 times, temp install, and then stare and think for an hour... At least that's how my work goes! My wife thinks I'm crazy, and every time she walks into the garage and sees me staring at something she feels her diagnosis is confirmed! 1

I sometimes stare if something goes together, like is it really going to work! Then mind you, I come into the house and begin "trying" to explain my subject to the wife, what I was doing, describing parts and how they go together, etc. That's when that slight smile pops up and I know I might as well be speaking Greek! "Manic-Mechanic" 1,340 #7 Posted November 3 I set up the assembly with things loose check for alignment issues, seems good. Used a 1/2-39 belt, could go to standard 38, (store was out), none too shabby. Alignment issues dead on, shaft is 11” This should work Shaft is set just flush. Time for some new carriage bolts, 4,5/16-3/4 and two 5/16-1

What a handy thing to have to cut around ditch banks and fences! Beautiful tractor! I look forward to seeing the sickle all mounted up. 1
