Maz91 286 #1 Posted October 22 Hey gang. Sorry if this is a dumb question. Does anyone know if this snowblower would work on a 753? It appears to be pre-tach o matic and has a mounting bolt or pin that goes through the frame I believe? Thanks!
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,745 #2 Posted October 22 Looks like the rear bar is 5/8" in diameter so meant to be used with the front quick hitch used 1973 and later. Your tractor normally uses a 3/8" x 8-1/2" bolt through 2 bushings in the large front holes of your frame. Not saying you can't make it work. This one uses a 5/8" x 69" belt so you may need a 1/2" belt to fit your pto and shorter than the 69". Lift tube also would need to be shortened by trial and error.
ebinmaine 74,588 #3 Posted October 22 You could use that adapter bracket from the front of your Raider or make another one. Snowblower looks solid overall but the hanging chain is a concern. Price cheap?
Maz91 286 #4 Posted October 22 Thanks for the info guys. I thought it was pre quick hitch/tach o matic. If it’s not I have no reason to get it.
Ed Kennell 43,112 #5 Posted October 22 These short chute blowers could be purchased with three different attachment brackets. This one appears to be the one that bolted to the existing frame holes with a long 3/8" bolt and bushings. It looks like the 3/8" bolt was replaced with a 5/8" bolt so it could be mounted on the front attach-a-matic. All the blowers I have seen with the attach-a-matic mount have the 5/8" rod welded to the bracket and the bracket is a bit shorter. So, I'm guessing this one could be used either way with the correct length belt and lift rod.
pfrederi 18,972 #6 Posted October 22 (edited) Ed has it. You could replace the thicker bolt and use bushings in the blower frame or drill your tractor frame holes out. First picture is the older bolt to tractor frame set up second is tachmatic. Edited October 22 by pfrederi 2
Ed Kennell 43,112 #7 Posted October 22 Paul, was the third bracket a bolt on for a wider frame tractor...GT maybe?

pfrederi 18,972 #9 Posted October 22 (edited) The blower housings are the same. Note the mounting bracket, which is wider, bolts to the outside of the gusset welded to the blower housing. Gets the additional width you need for the GT14 frame.. Edited October 22 by pfrederi
Ed Kennell 43,112 #10 Posted October 22 Thanks Paul, So Maz's blower has the narrow bracket that would be the correct width to mount on his 753 with the 3/8" X 81/2" long bolt and bushings.
