tbear853 58 #1 Posted October 19 (edited) Neighbor bought a new Husqvarna zero turn and was running out of space. In 1993 he bought 264-H 246HWheel Horse, it's hydro, has a 16 hp B&S Vanguard V-twin. Electric PTO is bad and he had bought one new but hadn't put it on because he bought the Husqvarna on a great sale. He said the WH run great, that his wife loved it, but he was out of room. He said that it kept killing batteries, that was why he decided to go with the new tractor which is a zero turn and he wanted to save time, but then his wife doesn't like it yet. He didn't know why it was hard on batteries, but he thought was gonna cost a bunch. I suggested a possible reason is just a dead voltage regulator as I couldn't think of a more likely item. I know, could be a stator. He brought me the WH with chains and wheel weights too, and a new in box electric PTO, in the bucket of his big tractor, $100 and he was happy. I was looking in the parts manual, regulator is #78-4502, but it mentions something about a light and now I wonder ..... Any ideas? My other Wheel Horse is a ''80s C-85 with B&S 16 HP and some other mods and is 8 speed. I'd like to have both running, big yard. Are these 264-H 246Hs good, never had a hydro. I did accidently mix the model number, I'm sorry. Edited October 19 by tbear853

tbear853 58 #3 Posted October 19 (edited) On review, you are exactly right. 246H model number 72081 it is. I want to get the correct regulator to try. It uses a B & S Vanguard vertical shaft V-twin B-303777 - 0412 - 01. Is a 48" deck too. I have a great spare seat, and I can buy front tires. He said hydro was good. I do appreciate the reply. Mine has two yellow wires on a 2 terminal plug, and a single white wire on the other plug. Edited October 19 by tbear853 Mine is 3 wires
