Which muffler?

I need help deciding which muffler to put on my 1960 Suburban 400. With the K91 motor.

#1 seems close to the original pancake muffler.

#2 Comes in two sizes, 1/2 and 3/4 thread.

#3 I have seen this on many RJ's and Suburbans.

I'm not sure, any ideas? I guess they all serve the same purpose.

I've seen the third one also alot on RJ's I really don't know what is correct????

Jake- #3 is going to be the closest you'll find. But on the other hand I've seen all three on Rj's. I guess its what you've got is what you use! Still if your going for originalty #3 will be the closest. they used #3 on the 550,551 but on a 400 they used the old pancake that looks like a funnel on the back. Kohler dos'nt make that style any more,but every once and a while you can still find them. Thats if you can pry someones cold dead hands off of it! good luck on your decision.

Go with #3.

It is exactly the same from a front view but the back of the muffler tapered off on the original early mufflers.
